| The Wilson School is known for its academic excellence. Wilson's faculty is committed to providing every child with an educational program that sets high achievement levels. It is designed to stimulate intellectual curiosity, creativity and physical well-being, as well as to provide children with opportunities to develop a strong sense of morals, ethics and a positive self-image. Founded in 1913, The Wilson School serves approximately 200 children from age three through grade six. Wilson is a diverse yet tightly-knit educational community, offering students small class sizes, two teachers in every classroom, an 8:1 student-teacher ratio and supportive parent involvement. In an environment of spacious, sunny classrooms, the traditional academic curriculum is enriched by specialists who teach science, French, Latin, art, music, technology, library/resource and physical education. Band and instrumental lessons also are available to students in afternoon enrichment sessions. Wilson is located in an historic building in a lovely quiet, tree-lined residential section of Clayton and is in close proximity to Washington University, Forest Park, museums and concert halls. The Wilson School welcomes families from diverse backgrounds and origins. |
