| Founded in 1967, Metropolitan School provides a rigorous academic curriculum to middle and senior high school students who have learning disabilities, attention deficit disorders and other atypical learning styles. Class size is limited to nine students in order to foster highly individualized instruction. Self-esteem, personal responsibility and interpersonal skill development are cultivated within this intimate, nurturing environment. Metropolitan provides the specialized curriculum and individualized instruction necessary for students to succeed in their daily lives. The school is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS) and the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and is approved by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. |
