Chaminade College Preparatory School is an independent, Catholic day and resident school preparing young men in grades 6-12 for success in college and life. Chaminade’s mission is to educate students morally, spiritually, academically, physically and socially with faith and character formation in the Catholic Marianist tradition being emphasized. Chaminade’s resident program offers 5-day and 7-day boarding for U.S. and international students currently from Asia, Africa and Latin America. The challenging curriculum is designed for students with above average to superior ability with more than 170 hours of college credit available through Advanced Placement Program and local universities. Over 65% of the faculty have earned advanced degrees. 72% of last year’s graduates received college scholarships. With 64 teams in 16 varsity sports, over 30 co-curricular activities, an award-winning band program in which over 30% of the students participate and a leading drama and fine arts program, our students can excel in their interests outside of the classroom. Chaminade is the only school in Missouri to implement a House System which provides adult mentors, deans and counselors and student leaders to aid in student formation and help establish bonds between older and younger students. Community service projects are required with Chaminade students performing over 25,000 service hours annually. More than 25% of our students receive over $1.4 million in need-based tuition assistance.
