Westminster Christian Academy

The integration of church, home and school is the distinguishing characteristic of a Westminster Christian Academy education. Although it is the parents’ main responsibility to provide for the Christian training and instruction of children, Westminster’s faculty and staff, as well as the students’ churches, serve as “helping hands.” Westminster strives to help develop the Christian mind and character of students while providing them an exceptional education. Teachers are dedicated to distinctive, Christ-centered studies that enable students to discover, embrace and integrate a biblical worldview. The strong college preparatory program includes numerous AP and college credit courses, foreign languages, and electives in the practical and fine arts.

A Special Services program serves students with diagnosed learning challenges. Independent Inquiries, the middle school’s academic challenge program, offers challenging learning experiences above and beyond the normal academic expectations of the middle school. Numerous cocurricular programs are available and include strong drama and music programs and a dynamic sports program named “Small School Athletic Program of the Year” by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch in 2010. Guidance programs, including college and career counseling, are available at the upper and middle school levels.

Westminster will relocate from its current campus at 10900 Ladue Road to a new 70-acre campus at 1-64 and Maryville Centre Drive in Town & Country in July, in time for the 2011-12 academic year. The campus will house three gymnasiums, an indoor eight-lane swimming pool, a 610-seat theater, 200-seat black box theater, library, 400-seat cafeteria, broadcast studio, more than 100 classrooms and a full array of specialized areas for the sciences, practical arts and fine arts. The outdoor athletic facilities include 12 outdoor tennis courts, a competition track, a 2,000-seat football stadium with a synthetic turf field and generous grass fields for soccer, baseball, softball, field hockey and lacrosse.

The new 300,000-square-foot facility will accommodate up to 1,200 students upon its completion and will provide the space and resources necessary to serve growing numbers of families and further Westminster Christian Academy's vision to prepare more young men and women to engage and change the world for Jesus Christ.
