Ursuline Academy

Ursuline Academy is a Catholic, college-preparatory high school for young women recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. Since our founding in 1848 under the sponsorship of the Ursuline Sisters, our mission as educators remains steadfast: to nurture the development of the whole person and her potential, cultivating within each student a spirit of lifelong service. The curriculum and teaching philosophy is designed to appeal to an academically diverse student body, allowing the gifted to average student to achieve her highest level of ability.

Our challenging program offers college credit and advanced placement courses with 100% of our students continuing on to higher education. Ursuline also offers a unique program called Virtual High School, where students can take a course online that may not be available otherwise. Utilizing the network of Ursuline schools worldwide through sporting events, mission trips and exchange programs, we educate our students for Christian living and leadership in a global society.

At Ursuline, students live our motto Serviam, which means “I will serve.” Serviam is more than a motto; it is a core value which we instill in each student, encouraging spiritual formation and faith development. With 14 sports, over 25 clubs and organizations, a vibrant visual and performing arts program as well as a state-of-the-art broadcast studio, our students experience a wide array of curricular and co-curricular activities. Ursuline strives to build a family community spirit for our students, providing them a welcoming, non-judgmental environment.
