Blending a classical approach with innovative techniques, Wilson’s exceptional educators provide an accelerated academic program in a warm and nurturing environment. With two full-time teachers in each classroom, Wilson students receive an extensive amount of small group and individualized attention that enables each child to excel to his or her fullest potential. In addition, departmentalized curriculum specialists teach French/Latin, science, technology, art, music, P.E. and library resource. Math and language arts are also departmentalized in the upper grades.

Wilson is a diverse, yet tightly knit community where achievement is commonplace, but not taken for granted. The school enrolls approximately 190 children age 3 through sixth grade, and there is one classroom per grade level. With an 8:1 student/teacher ratio, each Wilson student is well known and individuality is celebrated.

Wilson is nestled on beautiful tree-lined DeMun Avenue in historic Clayton, and offers an environment of sunny, spacious classrooms. Established in 1913, Wilson has provided excellence in elementary education to Saint Louis-area students for 98 years. Wilson students rank nationally in the 90th to 99th percentile and enjoy excellent secondary school placement.
