Educating children in pre-kindergarten (age 4) through sixth grade, Rossman's strong program in the basic subject areas of language arts and mathematics is augmented and enriched by integration with specialty subjects of art, Spanish and Latin, library, music, physical education, science and social studies. Degreed faculty in all these areas incorporate innovative and traditional teaching strategies to implement a stimulating, carefully designed curriculum. A student-teacher ratio of 8:1 allows teachers to build a personal relationship with each child and combine the school's 94-year tradition of superior academics with the development of integrity and kindness in children.
At Rossman School, experience tells us that high expectations encourage and motivate students. Experience also tells us that our students live in an increasingly global society. Therefore we enthusiastically welcome children from all racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Students are taught respect and compassion for others, appreciation for differences among people, strength of character, positive leadership skills, self discipline and individual responsibility. Our mission is a large challenge and a larger opportunity!
