Community School

Community School balances an academically challenging curriculum with a nurturing, supportive environment. Children at Community develop the joy of learning, belief in one’s self, and respect for others, all while cultivating a solid base of skills to prepare them for secondary school and beyond. Specialty classes include art, woodworking, music, band, drama, linguistics, physical education, French, and science.

The sixteen-acre wooded campus includes a nature trail, butterfly garden, and pond, encouraging the exploration of nature through outdoor activities. Extended Day, Mini-Classes, and Homework Club comprise the popular After-School Program. At Community there is a commitment to diversity and multi-cultural awareness. The 7:1 student/teacher ratio increases the opportunity for the experienced and dedicated faculty to provide individualized attention for each child.
