POSITION: After School Staff
City Academy is seeking highly motivated & professional staff members to assist with our after school programming. This position includes mentoring, monitoring, and entertaining students in preschool through the sixth grade (4 years to 12 years old) during the hours of 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.
City Academy offers the highest quality education to promising children in St. Louis City. The school was created with the belief that a family’s income should not determine a child’s access to an exceptional education and enrichment programming. City Academy students strive to be their best everyday, thus we expect nothing less than excellence from the staff members that serve them.
City Academy seeks staff members who believe that a rigorous academic program and high expectations are key to changing a child's future. City Academy’s after school staff are passionate and work collaboratively with each child’s parents and teachers to provide a challenging learning environment and enriching after school activities. To do so, staff members must be creative, energetic, highly organized, professional, and willing to have fun.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• This position is ideal for college students or other adults with the ability to commit to a full academic year of service. Highly mature high school students will be considered.
• Ability to assist students in homework completion (including reading, writing, math and science)
• Ability to foster collaborative working relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and all internal and external constituencies
SALARY: Pay begins at $9 per hour. Experience is considered.
