  A major part of ISSL’s mission and work is to provide a wide variety of professional development opportunities to our member schools. We typically offer as many as 60 different events during the course of the year.

Financial Dilemmas in Independent Schools
This presentation and workshop for Heads, Directors of Finance, and Trustees will discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with the use of school resources. This session will teach how to effectively use the full range of resources that are available at a school, provide strategies for managing resources to meet a school’s goals, teach ways of coping with constrained financial resources, and discuss how to make better use of human resources to improve student learning. James P. Honan has been on the faculty at Harvard Graduate School of Education for fifteen years (and previously involved in other departments at Harvard), and is the author of several publications.
