Independent Schools of St. Louis - The Most We Can Do For Our Children

Standard Application Information

Eleven ISSL Secondary Schools accept SSATB’s Standard Application form. Parents should contact the school to which they are applying for school-specific information about admission procedures, recommendation requirements and deadlines. Parents may obtain a paper copy of the Standard Application form from:

  • ISSL elementary schools;
  • ISSL secondary schools; or
  • the ISSL website by downloading the Standard Application.

Standard Application Online (SAO)

All schools prefer that families apply online. Families may apply online at SSAT Website. The Standard Application Online is secure and allows the parent and student to review and modify all sections of the application prior to submission to each school. Transcript and teacher recommendation forms are available for download. No matter how many schools to which a child applies, only one copy of teacher recommendations and transcripts is required. The web site provides instructions for downloading and distributing these forms. When using the SAO, recommendation forms are mailed directly to SSATB by the appropriate school officials, electronically attached to the child’s application, and electronically delivered to schools via a secure portal.

ISSL’s Paper Version of the Standard Application

If a family utilizes the paper form of the Standard Application, the applicant’s parents should keep the original and submit copies of the Student Information (Part 1), Student Questionnaire (Part 2), and Parent Statement (Part 3) of the Standard Application to the school(s) to which they are applying. Transcript and teacher recommendation forms should be given to the child’s current school for completion and direct mailing to the school(s) to which the child is applying.
