Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
- Parents may register for National Tests by mail, fax, or online at www.ssat.org and for Regional Test dates go to www.ssat.org/flex.
- Testing begins at 9AM unless otherwise stated. Test location, alternate test time (if necessary), and any special notes are included on the student's Admission Ticket. Plan to arrive at the test by 8:30 to ensure proper check-in, especially if you are a standby tester.
- The test runs slightly over three hours including two breaks. Test dismissal is normally between 12 noon and 12:30 pm.
- Students should bring their admission ticket, sharpened #2 pencils, and a good eraser.
- Most scores are released to schools approximately one week after the test date. Scores are released to families (by mail, FedEx, and e-mail) a few days after the school score release date. Allow an additional week for delivery by US first class mail (delivery time varies).
- To add or change score recipients at no charge, students can use the "Manage My Account" pages online. Any add/cancel score requests submitted to SSAT for processing will incur a transaction fee.
- Regular 2011-2012 Test Fee: $116.
